My name is Kaitlin Arnold. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and founder of Finding Your Balance Therapy.  I specialize in working with adolescents, emerging adults and adults. I help individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, other mental health issues and stressors from life challenges such as transitions and interpersonal conflict. I especially enjoy working with individuals to develop positive coping skills, navigate and gain confidence in working through stressful situations and improve their relationships.  I utilize a number of evidence-based approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and mindfulness. I have also worked with individuals using exposure response prevention (ERP).

I received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Michigan State University and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Northwestern University. Prior to starting Finding Your Balance Therapy, I worked as a therapist in several different settings in Chicago, most recently working with individuals struggling with depression and anxiety in partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs. Prior to that, I was the Clinical Manager at a residential facility, helping people with severe and persistent mental illness and their families.

I believe therapy should be tailored to each individual. Let's start with where you're at and go from there. I can promise you a safe space where you can feel comfortable sharing your thoughts and feelings. I hope you'll call me. I look forward to joining you on your journey to finding your unique balance.
